Maratac straps...
...for $6 :
http://www.countycomm.com/pvc.html
This is a composite (PVC) strap with colored stitching and still available in most sizes and colors. I can vouch for the CS from countycomm, though not yet for the straps themselves. I did order several and I will report to the membership when I have used one for a a few days. At $6 dollars you really can't go wrong.

Re: Maratac straps...
I'm wearing one of these right now w/red stitching. Not a bad strap. Really thin and flexible, and it has held up well on a cheap beater in the Florida climate and my sweaty ass for the work days. After a year, hasn't faded or marred and the stitching has retained it's vibrancy. Clings to the skin well, not much sliding or spinning during activities.

Worth a try...
Thank you for the intel. I have an orange face diver and an early 70's blue face cusion case chronometer to try them out on. This is a great way to try the contrasting stiching look before buying a nice leather strap, and perhaps being dissapointed with the look. My strap reject drawer is getting full.
Thanks again,Steve

Re: Maratac straps...
I ordered a couple of the straps and got them yesterday. They are more flexible than I would have guessed and even have a tiny bit of stretch like leather for a good fit. The maratac straps have a fixed keeper and a floating one. With an 8 inch wrist the straps are long enough but I won't need to use the floating keeper. I like them and for $6 they seem a great deal. Here is a quick pic in bad light that shows them on a couple of watches. One is 20mm and the other 22mm.

There was sound in the movie, Anthony; didn't you hear the links clanking around and the guy's heavy breathing...? :jack:themadhungarian wrote:Promise me you won't post a stupid fucking silent film of your favorite (insert make and model of watch here) every time you reply.

Re: Maratac straps...
I did but then I went into the fetal position and started slapping my hands against my ears...
Update: No matter the lug width, the straps with white stitching are shorter than those in the other colors at least with the batch that I ordered.
